Landscape – When people think about going away for a break to see beautiful scenery they often think of countries all over Europe and other parts of the world. However, the UK also has many places that you can visit if you want to enjoy the scenic beauty that the United Kingdom has to offer. One of the main reasons why the landscape is so great in much of the UK is because it has so many miles of gorgeous coastlines. Not only this, but there are also plenty of mountains and so on if you’re more interested in them!
History – There is so much history about pretty much any city in the UK. The best thing about this is that although many cities are full of history, most of them are now more modern and have plenty of shops and so on for you to take a look at. Essentially, this means that you get the best of both worlds since you get both old and new, you really can’t get any better than that.
Events – There are a wide variety of events that are held in cities all over the UK that you’ll be bound to want to go to at least a couple of them. Just to name a few, these include Wimbledon for all you sport fans, Glastonbury if you love your music or even the Chelsea flower show if you’re more in to flowers and gardening.
Pubs – We have to mention pubs if you’re thinking about going on any type of city breaks in the UK. In every single city that you visit you’ll see a wide range of different kinds of pubs for you to spend a bit of time in. Many of these pubs are hundreds of years old, so each one has its own little story behind it! Unlike most other countries, it’s almost as if no two pubs are the same in the UK.
Architecture – There are so many buildings which are amazing in the UK. Even if you’re not normally amazed by seeing a few buildings, you’ll definitely come across a building or two that will leave you in awe from time to time when you’re travelling in the UK. There is everything from cathedrals, castles and a lot, lot more to see! The York Minster is just one example.
